Successful event photography relies on three key elements.

 

Firstly, every event has its own unique personality and if you are going to capture the essence of that event, you need to tap into that personality. An event photographer can never be a detached observer.

Secondly, you need to have that precious knack of simultaneously being somewhere whilst not being there. Being close enough to get the key shots but without influencing what is happening.

 

And finally, it’s the precious ability to capture a moment that a split second before didn't exist but a moment later is gone forever. Such moments are happening all around but the skill is knowing where to look for them and then capturing that decisive moment.​​​
